When I first started working from home, I thought I would be able to manage my schedule so I can go grocery shopping. Boy was I wrong! I am busier now than ever and because we eat clean and healthy in our household, ordering out is not an option. Grocery shopping on average takes 2-2 1/2 hours of my day. The grocery stores like Trader Joes and Fresh Thyme I go to are not as close as say the higher price stores that are nearby. Now I know what you are saying..but you are paying in gas what you would pay at these markets…somewhat! I am in charge of the grocery list, the budget and the actual grocery shopping. So there are certain items that are in rotation each week and certain markets that have what we are looking for. Plus my cat is very finicky with her food.
Time is money
Being even busier now than when I had a regular job, my time is precious as any downtime can cost me. So I am always looking for ways to save time and money..I mean aren’t we all?? Online shopping is gaining momentum in both fashion and food. So I looked into what online grocery stores are out there and here are the top online stores that I found outside of Walmart and Amazon.
What do they deliver: It is actually a 3rd party that delivers groceries from stores that are in your area
Review: I have never used them, however seen that they have Costco and am super excited that we can have Costco delivered to us.
What do they deliver: Anything and everything
Review: I love them! I have actually used them several times and their delivery and service are impeccable! When you add items in your cart, the prices drop. They have good item selection though not all the organic items I like but they have most. One time I bought eggs and a few eggs in a couple of cartons cracked. I sent them a picture and email and they not only returned my money, they gave a $5 credit for next purchase. Also, first 3 orders are 15% off. Definitely recommend!
Store: Thrive Market
What do they deliver: They are a membership site for just $59.95 and save on the world’s best healthy products for a full year. When you join, you are also sponsoring a free membership for a low-income family.
Review: The items on Thrive Market are lower than that of Amazon and Whole Foods. Though you do pay an annual fee there is still a savings overall. To save 20% off your first purchase please click here

What do they deliver: This is a very new site (launched July 11th) where every thing you purchase is only $3!! Yes you read right, $3! And these aren’t just tiny size products or low budget products either. They are mostly organic, GMO free. So how do they sell for only $3? Well the products are as the name states – brandless. And you think saving money is the best part. They do much more than that by partnering with Feeding America®, the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief organization, a meal* is donated every time you shop on Brandless.
Review: I have not bought from them YET, but will probably do so this week.
So I hope I saved you some time and money with these 4 suggestions. I certainly have! There are many online grocery stores out there and it keeps growing as online consumerism keeps growing. Do you do your grocery shopping online? If so, do you like it? Would love to hear your thoughts, please comment below.
